The widget is what captures your leads. It shows a short form when a visitor taps your WhatsApp, call or email button, saves the lead with the ad click that brought them, then opens WhatsApp as normal.
- 1In Whapture, open Settings → Integrations and copy your snippet from the first card. It looks like
<script src="https://www.whapture.app/w.js?t=your-clinic"></script>. - 2Open tagmanager.google.com and pick your website's container.
- 3Go to Tags → New and name it Whapture Widget.
- 4Tag configuration → Custom HTML → paste the snippet.
- 5Triggering → All Pages. The widget must run on every page your ads land on.
- 6Click Save, then Submit → Publish (top right). Nothing goes live until you publish.
Check it worked: open your website in a new tab, then refresh your Whapture Leads page. Within about a minute the setup checklist shows "Detected on yoursite.com". Then tap your WhatsApp button and send a test enquiry: it appears on the Leads page within seconds.
No Tag Manager? Paste the snippet just before the closing </body> tag of your site's theme, or send it to your web developer. It's one line.
Not showing up? Browsers cache scripts, so test in an incognito window. Make sure the GTM container you published is the one installed on the site, and that the trigger is All Pages.
